TNM internet services restored!

Mobile network provider TNM has fully restored its internet services following disruptions caused by cuts to two undersea cables.

TNM Chief Executive Officer Michel Herbert explained that failure, which also affected Tanzania and South Africa among other nations, resulted in a degradation of its internet services, leaving many customers without access to the internet.

Herbert stresses a point.

He said in response to the shortcoming the company made agreements with Telecom Namibia through TMCel Mozambique, and MTN Zambia in the exercises to have the services up and running.

‘’We incurred in a revenue loss of approximately K1 billion, and we have invested K4 billion in restoring and upgrading its Internet services with resilient and stable infrastructure. Our teams of engineers and partners have worked tirelessly to restore services, and we will continue to monitor performance and provide updates as necessary,’’ he said.

In the meantime, TNM will give away various gifts to over one million customers who were impacted by the network disruption with classification based on the nature of the internet package purchased.
