US lays intentions in new pact
US President Donald Trump has launched a new international body called ‘Board of Peace’ which aims at mediating global conflicts, starting with the Gaza Conflict.
It was launched in Davos, Switzerland during the World Economic Forum and Trump himself chairs the grouping while major World Powers have chosen to stay away.
Critics say the Board of Peace is a move by Trump to completely sideline United Nations, and that it lacks neutrality and global consensus.

The development follows Trump’s decision to formally withdraw USA from over 66 international organisations including the World Health Organization-WHO.
According to Sky News, none of the UN Security Council’s permanent members besides the U.S. have signed on.
All G7 nations (except the U.S.) have declined to join and so far, 35 countries have joined.
So far, only Morocco and Egypt are the only African countries that have confirmed to be joining.
