A youth rights organization under the banner Centre for Youth and Children’s Affairs has instituted an inquiry over how the National Economic empowerment Fund disburses loans.
The development comes as the organization has received complaints against the conduct and performance of the fund.
In an interview with MIJ Online Desmond Mhango, executive Director of Centre for Youth and Children’s Affairs said the organization has received complaints on delays in the processing loans.
Besides Mhango said the organization has also received complaints of nepotism in the choice of recipients of the loans alleging that some members of some political affiliation are sidelined despite meeting all requirements.
