One of the country’s civil rights groupings, CDEDI has written the Office of the President and Cabinet seeking disclosure of contract and conditions of service for the office of Deputy Chief Executive Officer for NOCMA which is being held by Helen Buluma.
According to a letter in MIJ Online’s possession, the executive director for CDEDI- Sylvester Namiwa is demanding for the condition of service in line with the Access to Information Act of 2018.
The demand is also coming at a time another human right grouping Human Rights Defenders Coalition has asked the Office of the Ombudsman to investigate the condition of service for Buluma.
The demands follow allegations that Buluma has bloated security detail which is costing tax payers 3.9 million kwacha per month.
