Malawi has officially started hosting the 41st SADC heads of state summit.
The summit is expected to conclude on Wednesday next week.
One of the highlights of the day saw Lucky Sikwese, Principal Secretary for ministry of foreign affairs taking over as chairperson for SADC senior officials.
Speaking to MIJ FM – Sikwese said there is need for such forums to be utilized for nations to promote regional development and peace.
In addition, he said, currently discussions are underway to have develop Covid19 vaccines for the region.
