The Roads Funds Administration has disclosed that the Chingeni and Kalinyeke tollgate plazas have raised over 7 Billion Kwacha in revenue since they started operating.
Speaking to MIJ Online, Masauko Ngwaluko Spokesperson for the Fund said this is compounded by continued compliance on payment by road users.

Ngwaluko has meanwhile said they are using the funds to rehabilitate the M1 road.
Malawi had the first Tollgate Plaza which was commissioned in 2021 at Chingeni in Balaka, followed by the Kalinyeke Tollgate Plaza in Dedza.
